Clear + Brilliant treatments take about forty minutes.  We ask that you reserve one hour for your appointment (to allow for topical numbing).  The number of treatments you will need depends on your desired outcome.  In recent studies, consumers reported visible improvements after 4-6 treatments.  We will discuss a personalized treatment regimen with you.

Each of the Clear + Brilliant treatment offerings serves a unique purpose.  The Clear + Brilliant Perméa treatment offers more visible enhancements in tone and radiance, while the original Clear + Brilliant treatment is optimized to improve your skin's texture.  During a consultation, Dr. Lopez can discuss the best treatment plan for you.

For the original Clear + Brilliant treatment, topical anesthetic ointment will be applied before the procedure.  Afterwards, you may have mild redness and swelling, which typically subsides within a few hours.  For the Clear + Brilliant Perméa treatment, topical anesthetic is not required.  Topical skincare product, such as an antioxidant serum, will be applied to each treatment area after the treatment is administered. This combination approach decreased post-treatment skin responses, such as redness and swelling.

The new Clear + Brilliant Perméa treatment was introduced in the Fall of 2012, and we have been offering Clear + Brilliant Perméa treatments since Fall 2013.  Your skin may feel softer and have improved tone, texture, and radiance.  You can expect the following results:

Clear + Brilliant Perméa treatments are very gentle and are specifically designed to minimize side effects associated with typical laser treatments.  You may experience mild redness and subtle inflammation immediately after treatment.  These generally resolve within a few hours, but may last until the following day.
